Oh. My. God.

I can't even believe that I'm reading this. The fact that Newt Gingrich even feels comfortable suggesting something like this in public bodes ill for personal freedom and the rights of every human being within the borders of this nation.

President Gates.

Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, suggests Bill Gates for President. Says Adams: "At least you’d know he wouldn’t be in it for the money or to speed up the Rapture." I'm not quite convinced, but I'd rather see the black-hole-of-moral-fiber that is Bill Gates become President than see a repeat of what we have now.

Tepid posts an interesting tidbit about a proposed bill in Senate which may return the right of Habeas Corpus to its default state, among other things.

Rummy resigns.

I'm still laughing at this. The move is an obvious ploy to undercut the effectiveness of the first hundred days of the new house and senate, as well as a preemptive damage control strike, but I mean still... what a fucking coward.

Music, DRM and Money.

Peter Jenner, the original manager for Pink Floyd weighs in on the current state of the music industry and the future of DRM. I don't even pretend to understand half of this article. Money is really not my area of expertise, but the article makes for interesting reading none-the-less. Jenner seems to think that DRM is DOA, and that we'll all be paying a flat fee for music usage in the future. Fun stuff.
